Privacy notice
Last updated: August 8, 2026
This notice covers two things: how this website handles your data, and how Lafaga handles business contact data when we reach out to businesses by email. Plain English, no legalese where it can be avoided.
Who is responsible (data controller)
Jakub Smola, sole trader registered in the Czech Republic (EU), Company ID (IČO) 21790302, registered address Česká Čermná 190, 549 21 Česká Čermná, trading as “Lafaga”.
Contact: info@lafaga.com · Postal address: Česká Čermná 190, 549 21 Česká Čermná, Czech Republic
If you used a form on this site
We process the details you submit (name, email, business type, website, message) to answer you and to prepare what you asked for - a reply, a design draft or a website review. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep this correspondence for 3 years after our last contact.
If you received an email from us out of the blue
Lafaga sends a small number of personalized emails to local businesses that we believe could genuinely benefit from a better website. Here is everything that involves:
- What we hold: your business name, your name if it is publicly listed, a business email address or phone number, your website address, and notes on what your public web presence looks like.
- Where it came from:public business listings and directories, and your business's own website. We do not buy private databases and we do not collect anything you have not made public.
- Why we may contact you (legal basis): our legitimate interest in offering relevant services to businesses (Art 6(1)(f) GDPR). Every email identifies itself as a commercial message, says who sent it, and carries a working opt-out - as required by the US CAN-SPAM Act.
- How long: if you never respond, we stop emailing after a short sequence and delete or anonymize your contact data within 12 months of collecting it. If you opt out, your address goes on our do-not-email list permanently - that list exists only to make sure we never contact you again.
Your right to object (opt out)
You can object to receiving marketing from us at any time, and we will always honor it - this right is absolute (Art 21(2) GDPR). Use the unsubscribe page, click the opt-out link in any of our emails, or simply reply “unsubscribe”. Opt-outs are processed promptly, in all cases within 10 business days as the CAN-SPAM Act requires - in practice usually the same day.
Who processes data on our behalf

- Supabase (EU region) - database where submitted forms and business records are stored

Where a provider operates outside the EU, transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or an EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification. We never sell personal data.

- Have it corrected or deleted
- Restrict how it is used

Email info@lafaga.com and we will sort it out. You can also lodge a complaint with the Czech data protection authority (ÚOOÚ), which supervises Lafaga, or with your local authority.
